My mum phoned from the hospital to assure me that she is making some improvement and sounded more cheerful this morning. She wanted some numbers from her old phone book of people to contact to tell them about her heart attack so they understand why she can’t be free to visit them soon. I got the numbers for her. My sister came round later to pick up some things for my Mum, and though generally not talking to me she did talk to me as she has during this crisis, but she was accompanied by the girlfriend of one of my equally estranged nephews who just glared at me balefully the whole time they were in the house, which was totally uncalled for. I was glad when they left. The rest of my day consisted of job-questing, laundry and online writing. Arthur Chappell

you have to wonder just what she was told to be that horrible

exactly - she wasn't even known to the family when my dispute with my older nephew started - she's just falling in with a general campaign to snub me without even thinking about it all

@Jessicalynnt yes, and that is the best way when we have to talk to people we don't get on with

That young one was glaring at you in your own house? Well, uncalled for is right. Have a lovely day Arthur. Hope your Mum is doing okay.

she is actually in her mid-twenties - old enough to know better

@arthurchappell Hmm she needs a good telling off..or something..doesnt sound very respectful to you or the circumstances. Yes she should know better.

I am glad your Mom feels better and I know how you feel having someone at home who you do not appreciate. I barely speak to my brother.

At least your Mum sounds a bit better. It will be nice if she can contact some of her friends.
