Been busy these couple of days. My 12 year old nephew has been diagnosed with type I diabetes. To those who don't know , type I diabetes also known as juvenile diabetes, In this type the body stops producing insulin and the patient has to take insulin shots everyday. Its heart wrenching to see him take these shots 4 times in a day. He is practicing to take it on his own, that too on his tummy.. He is just a kid and he has to give up all that he likes. All we do now is search the net to find yummy ketogenic diet. I just pray that The Almighty keep our children safe and healthy. Amen

Being an adult I can't even give up thing I like even when I know I have to, he is just a kid and still he is trying. I just hope he gets the strength to do so.

That is very sad. Hopefully once he gets used to the procedure it won't be too traumatic for him.

Poor boy, I suppose he will have to have those shots for the rest of his life.

Yes, it is unfortunate. Waiting for a breakthrough in medicinal science, oral insulin tablets would be better than insulin shots. Lets see how long the wait will be.
