Make sure that you read the essential information under "Help" in the menu under your username and avatar on the menu bar. The Community Guidelines are the most important and the Earnings Program FAQs will tell you how the site works as far as payments are concerned. There is a lot of useful information about the site here:

Find people you would like to follow, and then respond to their discussions. If you respond to those you follow, they will return the favor. It's important to answer their discussions of you want them to respond in kind. Try to make your discussions more than a couple of lines. I'm sure you know this, but having come across a couple people who just write a short statement, I thought I would list that as advice. Just try to enjoy the site, and write about things that interest you. Welcome to mylot! *It's probably a good idea to read the guidelines if you haven't already. Some people will jump down your throat if you don't. Most people are great, but a few just want to catch someone who accidentally breaks a rule.
