Don't know why--maybe because I was on such a high yesterday (my Friends told I was 'nauseating' and to 'shut up'--all lovingly--about how great I was feeling and saw life) but I found the following blurb laugh out loud funny: "An Oregon woman has been arrested for calling 911 to get another look at a police officer she described as 'the cutest cop I've seen in a long time' " I think she should be commended for her ingenuity! Population control? All of a sudden I am getting all kinds of figures thrown at me about deaths in the USA: Dale sent an e-mail about 1,500 accidental gun deaths and 120,000 accidental deaths by physicians not to forget the 31,000 suicides yearly, another person died from lightning here yesterday, medicine errors (taking of or subscriptions for) have caused 98,000 deaths, 81 boating deaths in Florida alone--what's going on, folks? Words of Wisdom: "You take responsibility for your own actions, and you build from that. You pick and choose who you surround yourself with. Don't choose angry people or people who are always looking for someone else to blame. You have to decide for yourself that you have the inner strength and desire to raise above it." POZ magazine Why do people read discussions of people they don't like or constantly disagree with? Are they sadists? Masochists? Or just here for the money? Living in a cosmopolitan place with so many immigrants from other states, countries, makes for some really great dining--name it, we have a restaurant for it it:Korean, Thai, Japanese, Hungarian, German, French, Creole, down home Southern cooking, Cuban, Italian, Latin American, Mexican, Spanish, Greek, Jamaican, Philippine, Jewish delis, Caribbean, plus not to forget Chicago hot dogs, NY pizza, etc. Name a type of food and we have a restaurant for it! (And I try them all!) From a sex columnist: "No matter the potential consequences, people are going to have sex. Yet we have a great deal of control over our own sexual health. Sex can be scary, but safe sex is manageable. After all, Gene Simmons is still standing. so that's a good sign." I LOVE that last line! Internet etiquette is a fairly new thing--what do you think of someone posting a private e-mail they sent you? (No, I am not pointing the finger at the many who do--just asking.) Though I remember being told (and learned the hard way when I was in the Marines) to never put anything in writing you wouldn't want the whole world to read I still think it is 'wrong' to post an e-mail without the writer's permission. Your thoughts. Last, but not least: Headlines From Hell in our local paper: "man, 80, traded crack for sex", "Anorexic Real World star eats boyfriend's limbs" and "Fight erupts at shoe store; customer shot." And how is your day going?????????

interesting mixed bag of items - love the idea of the lady dialling 911 just to see her favourite cop - I expect they were not amused

OH how funny that is, I would never post an email without the writers consent and probably would not do so anyway. Well at least to my knowledge no shooting here.

I have had a PM I sent to someone posted on the Internet during a 'blogging war' and was told that ANYTHING on the Internet can be posted anytime. I didn't go into the legalities but about having manners, etiquette and respect for others.

My day is going a lot better than some of the people's days you talk about here. I think it's very rude to post a private email on the internet.

My day is going one heck of a lot better than the Real World star's boyfriend! I like the words of wisdom - one of my favorites along the same lines is "We can control everything but consequences." And as for the bit about disagreements - I'm lucky that happens or I wouldn't have many readers at all!

I don't care--I have nothing to hide and I'm too poor to lose anything!! I just believe in treating people with respect.
