Fried Fish Vermicelli Soup

A dish uniquely Singaporean. Had this last week and it's so satisfying. The broth is boiled with fish and chicken bones. Condensed milk is added for that rich creamy and milky taste.
Generous slices of battered fried fish, tomatoes, seaweed, lettuce and coriander are added. You get the rich creamy taste of the broth in every bite of the vermicelli that has been soaked up in it.
Other versions include thin fish slices that are simply blenched in the broth or battered and fried parts of the fish head.
Have you tried something similar?

Dang, I really love Japanese style noodles. Soup noodles with a flavorful broth and al dente noodles are the perfect combo.

That looks really good, and now I am hungry. I have never had anything like this, but I would certainly try it if I had the chance.

@Ladypeace Oh that was fantastic. Thank you very much!
What would you like me to send over to you? Might I recommend the barbecue spare ribs done on the grill? They are excellent.

The broth has a mild tone of sweetness but mainly savory. Dang I wish I could share it with you guys - it's one of those things I like sharing with my friends.

I think you've pointed out my slip up , I've mixed up condensed and evaporated milk. Vendors here use evaporated instead. I guess the sweetness comes from sugar they've added to the soup. You've widen my knowledge!

Why is it that i keep reading post with pictures of foods . It makes me salivate . I have just read @owlwing's post with a mousakka in the picture and that one made me drool too.
You said in this soup they used condensed milk . So it's sweet ?

They add like two table spoons so it's just a slight hint of sweet but mostly savory. I'm sorry for making you hungry again but I'm not worried because you'll have good food by your side.
