Spring is Here Finally- Time for gardening!

Georgetown, Kentucky

I can't wait to start a garden this year. (Of course here in Kentucky, it is going to be 77 degrees today, and could snow tomorrow.) I want to mainly raise potatoes and peppers, green onions and tomatoes and green beans. However, I will raise a lot of other things such as peas and squash, cucumbers and pumpkins etc. Anyone have any other ideas? I would like to try to raise something new.

I've been hoping to plant since last week was warm, but it will get cold again so I've been hesitating. I'm going to try something called 'yard beans' for the first time this year. And I plan to plant more Nasturtiums as well, because they were nice last year in bloom and I've found that most of the flowering plant is edible. The flowers were kind of spicy in a way.

I am not a gardener and look forward with a bit of dread to undoing winter's ravages
