I have been thinking about Chili for the last two days. Today I couldn't take it anymore so I finally made some. I can't wait for dinner. I browned about 2 pounds of ground beef with a large onion chopped up in it. Dumped in a packet of Chili flavoring - mild of course. Opened up two cans of pinto beans and dumped them in, liquid and all. Then added two cans of petite cut diced tomatoes. Right now it is bubbling on the stove. It smells so good I can hardly wait. What are you having for dinner?

Chili sounds good especially without the beans though. Hehe. I still eat them if theres beans, but I scoop around it. I had left over roasted duck with rice today.

I'm not very keen on chili even when it's mild. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.

@HazySue I guess that's really my objection too. I never grew up with this type of bean and have never really got used to them.

@JudyEv I think many people feel that way. I grew up eating dried beans, fried potatoes, and cornbread.

@JudyEv my husband isn't a fan of it either. I think it's the beans he doesn't like.

We had pot pies for dinner I have never used canned pinto beans in my chili before. Always cooked them from scratch.

@celticeagle I used to use dried beans but now that I am the only one at home that eats it I have switched to canned pinto beans. Believe it or not they aren't bad.

Chili is a great comfort food. My husband likes to cook and he makes it better than I do.

I don't eat dinner but since there was a lot about chili on here I was thinking of maybe making it.

Today I made egg salad sandwich which I had been yearning for a while. Talking about chili the other day I decided I wanted a chili dog so that is what I had for dinner and it was good but i don't put beans in mine as I hate beans.
