From your salary 12% amount cut down as PF. Its get accumalated. You can claim it anytime but when you claim you get it double means eg. if till date 1000$ accumulated from your salary, you will rather get 2000$ instead. Company pays for other 1000$. This is the reason not all company provide PF as it is expense for them but not service for their employee. Everybody have right of it. I always try to find job which provides of like this you can easily accumulate your wealth little by little.

What is a Provident Fund? Is it like a pension fund or 401K plan?
