I cannot stand sitting here any longer

I can't even imagine how people are able to sit at their desks all day for work. I would be so bored and tired. I have had two 20 oz. mugs of coffee today so I have reached my limit for the day. I did two loads of laundry. I took a survey and watched some videos to catch up on Inboxdollars. I created one blog post on blogger about a geocache my son and I found on Wednesday. I transferred 10 posts from personapaper to blogger. I cannot stand sitting here any longer. I feel like I will go stir crazy. What is everyone else doing with their day? My children will be home in about an hour and a half so I think I will go lay up in my bed and relax with a book until then.

When I worked in an office, I rarely sat in one spot all day. Trips to the printer/copier, going to ask my co-workers questions, finding files, sometimes covering the front desk and answering phones. I don't think I could physically do that anymore though.

I could deal with that if I could get up and move around a lot like you did. Sitting for 8 hours in one spot except for a 30 minute lunch break and 5 minute bathroom break would be awful. Just with the 5 hours yesterday I had restless legs really bad when I tried to sleep last night. I cannot even imagine how bad it would have been after 8 hours. I would have to try a tough leg workout after something like that you see if it would help.

Not many people find sitting at their desks an ideal place to work. (I say this as I sit cross-legged on my bed) I just woke up a few minutes ago, and am going to try (key word being "try") to be productive and study. Oh! What book are you reading (or will you be reading)? I haven't read an actual book recently, but I should.. (I say "Actual" book because these days I've been prone to reading Harry Potter fanfiction.. Hehe..)

I am reading two books. The one I am reading alone is "She's come Undone" by Wally Lamb. The one I am reading to my daughter is the last one (book 7) in the Harry Potter Series called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Since my kids don't want to go anywhere today I guess we will be finishing this book. We read about 4 chapters yesterday. It was a lot of reading but we love this series.

@shaggin Oh!!! I love Harry Potter! (In case you couldn't tell by what I'm reading, heh) Who are your kids' favourite characters? She's Come Undone sounds like a fiction.. Contemporary romance, perhaps?

@Sei_Ryoku What is Harry Potter fanfiction? Stories written by Harry Potter fans? We just now finished the last book and I wrote a post here about it. My daughter and my favorite character is Hermoine. My son's is Harry Potter.

I'm on a computer 8 hours a day for work so when I get home i don't feel like getting on one. If i do it's for an hour at most not even. I do get bored sometimes working on my computer and i constantly want to eat as i get bored but I try to keep myself from doing that.

Ahh I can understand that. You being on a computer all day at work I wouldn't want to sit down to another one after all that either. I'm surprised you come to mylot after being on a computer so much already. Then again chatting on mylot is very different from the work you do all day I'm sure.

I find it hard sometimes sitting in front of the computer for a long time. I'm not sure how some manage to do it at work. I guess they just got used to it. I hope you enjoy your book.

I sat for 5 hours and I just couldn't do it any longer. For work people have to sit there for 8 hours. I think I would go nuts. I had restless legs last night from so much sitting around. The book is good. I got it from a friend. It is called "She's come undone" by Wally Lamb. This was the authors first novel. I haven't read any of his other books.

this is the reason why I decided to start my own business because my white collar office job kills me with boredom.

Haha well I guess at least you have found something to kill the boredom that you were experiencing. What is the business that you have started? I would like to work from home rather then have to go out and travel but I don't know if I could sit at my computer all day.
