Today we purchased six baby ducks. Two of the ducks are Mallards, and the other four will be white ducks. I am not sure what the name of them are. We have them in a pen right now, until they are old enough to turn loose in the swamp.
I can hardly wait to see the ducks swimming around and enjoying themselves. I think it will be fun and relaxing to have ducks to enjoy and feed. It will be relaxing to watch the ducks.
I will have to bring my aunt up here, so she can enjoy the ducks as well.

Yes, they are all so adorable. The tractor supply store did not know the name of the white ducks. I wonder what kind of white ducks I have.

@slund2041 The most common white ducks are usually the Pekin Ducks, they have a calm temperament, the mallards are less friendly.

@JudyEv I do not think there would be anything to harm them.

No, Not really. The pond has fish in it, and turtles.

@slund2041 That's great. The ducks shouldn't be in any danger then.

They are lovely my friend.
So precious.
You are so fortunate to be able to raise them.
We can see them grow now as you will possibly be sharing more photos of them.
Do they have names yet?

No, I have not named them. I will probably leave that for my mother to do. She loves animals, and cannot get any of her own because of health issues. I will bring her here to see these ducks often.

Oh yes, We are going to let them enjoy our yard with the swamp, but will enjoy feeding them daily. We have them in a pen until they are old enough to turn out.

I think they are adorable. I think you need to be on the lookout for foxes and coyotes though, they have been known to kill them or carry them off.

I am not sure how to explain the type of duck. I will include a link, so you can see what they will look like, and also read on Mallard ducks. I know they have a green head, and a yellow bill. Mallard ducks are known for being colorful.
Learn all you wanted to know about mallard ducks with pictures, videos, photos, facts, and news from National Geographic.

That is pretty neat that you can have ducks and have a place that you can let them be wild.
