Listening To Radio On TV / myLot

I often put the radio on through the TV set. Satellite TV dishes pick up an excellent radio signal and there is no need for trying to tune the dialler to get the station on properly. Visually the TV screen stays on a single image of a page telling me in caption what show is airing. My mum dislikes me doing it as she thinks TV is for TV but I find the radio presentation and ease of changing stations through Satellite TV is excellent as is the sound quality. Does anyone else listen to radio this way? Arthur Chappell

lol the TV is a tool, to be used for whatever it can do. if it wasnt to be used for that, it wouldnt be available with that option

@arthurchappell Yeah, if it wasn't meant to do that, then why does it have stations for that? Obv someone paid money to create, so you are simply increasing the value of the tv by using it for more than a uni-tasker. heheh

I use my DAB, as absolute 70s isn't on Freeview and I don't bother with sat

@Marty1 Digital audio broadcast, I am fairly certain anyway! We still have FM & AM, but I like the quality of DAB and there are more stations. If I remember right it is MP2 quality.

Today I hardly listen to the radio any more since there are more other entertainments. Perhaps I prefer to use my mobile phone or computer to listen to the radio rather than listening to it from TV. As the TV is big and it is not necessary to turn on such a big machine to listen to the radio only.

Hi Arthur. Every morning if I am home, I will put on the Soundscape channel to listen to the music. It helps me be productive. Nice setup you have there.
