Have You Ever Been to Puerto Rico?

United States

On a cruise, one of our Ports of Call was Puerto Rico. We saw this old fort as we came into the harbor there. I took my niece on this cruise, because my husband couldn’t go at the time. We were there most of the day and also went to see an interesting nightclub show that evening that featured female impersonators. I had never seen a show like this before and I was fascinated. The actors were all VERY good. I do have photos of this trip, but haven’t figured out how to put them up yet. This is a photo from Pixabay.

Never been but would absolutely love to go. Puerto Rico is a major hub for wrestling and I would love to go see a show.

@TheDemonicAngel I don't care that much for the sport of wrestling, but a lot of people love the sport, especially guys.

@Marcyaz One of the impersonators did a very good Diana Ross, another did Joan Rivers and one did "Miss Piggy" which was hilarious.

I have been twice to Puerto Rico. The first time was almost 50 years ago and we went for almost a month as my father was working there.

@IreneVincent No thank you. I don´t study the Bible.

Right now Puerto Rico is devastated from the hurricanes. So much damage has been done in the past few weeks with hurricanes and earthquakes and flooding and forest fires. And now children are trapped alive in a school in Mexico. So much going on in this world right now. Have you ever watched this 3-minute video that explains why the world is in such a mess and what the future holds? I urge you to watch it.
Why study the Bible? Find answers to life’s big questions: Is there a God? Will suffering end? See how to get a free Bible study at a time and place convenient for you.

Yes, I love the entertainment on cruise ships and several trips I took to Las Vegas. I got to see Cirque du Soleil and The Platters and The Drifters and so many other great shows.

@JudyEv The FREE trips I earned with the jewelry company were always FIRST-CLASS. The trips were always well-organized and packed with things to do and the company paid for all of it. Cirque du Soleil tickets were $120 each and there were over 100 of us who went to the show. The company paid for it all, plus the hotel, meals and even tips and gratuities.

It was a nice port of call from the cruise ship. We spent the day in Puerto Rico but I would have liked to spend a week or more.

@Ronrybs Yes, a cruise is nice. I've been on SIX cruises and many ports of call. But, you don't get to stay long or see much. I would rather fly in and stay a few days. Many of our FREE trips were that type also.

@IreneVincent That's the problem with cruises, you got the smallest taste of the country, when sometimes you want a feast!

From the Port, one could get a nice view of the sky and the waters.

This was an aerial view of the ancient Fort. We went inside the Fort and walked all around. It was very interesting.
