Chocolate cake or Yellow cake?

Here's the quickie Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake: INGREDIENTS: 1 - 18 ounce chocolate cake mix 3 eggs 1 cup water or milk 1/2 cup mayonnaise (Increase mayonnaise to 1 cup if cake mix has pudding mix in it.) PREPARATION: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.** Combine ingredients with a hand mixer on low. Continue beating on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely before frosting. ** For 9 x 13 pan - bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Cool completely in pan. ** For Tube pan - bake for 40 - 45 minutes. Cool in pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan. Ok! Now here's my mother's Made from scratch Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake: Makes: 1 deep 9 x 13 pan or 10 x 14 pan Ingredients: 4 cups (950 ml) flour 2 cups (475 ml) sugar 8 tbsp (125 ml) unsweetened cocoa 4 tsp (20 ml) baking soda 2 cups (475 ml) water 2 cups (475 ml) mayonaise (I use Miracle Whip) 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla Preparation: Mix all dry ingredients together. Add water, mayonaise and vanilla. Mix on medium or medium high for about two minutes. Pour into greased and floured deep 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Bake 350 degrees (175 C.) F for about one hour or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean

I prefer yellow cake that is sponge cake delicious and light and you can have it with tea or decorate it

Chocolate is the best. I don't usually bother with anything that is vanilla. Chocolate peanut butter pie is my favorite!

I prefer chocolate, but it really does not matter to me. I have yet to eat a cake that I did not like. Coconut, pineapple, cheese cake... I always wondered why it was called cheese cake when it is obviously a pie. doesn't really make since does it? I should probably stop over analyzing unimportant things such as this.

I like yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I make a yellow cake with chocolate frosting at least once a month for my husband.

Hi there thatcrazybanita I like both chocolate cake and yellow cake. I couldnt deciede so I took both.LOL I like cake so much just a couple of weeks ago I was making a cake every week for just my husband and I. I recently had to stop I think we have had our share of cake.LOL

i will definitely go with the chocolate cake.... for yellow cake i need to add some fruit toppings with a scoop of ice cream to make it more exciting :)

Me too, i love chocolate. chocolate is one of my favourite flavour. i l ike chocolate bar, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate pastry, chocolate pudding, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate................. If i would prefer to eat cake inspite of its calorie and all, then why not eat it proper one like black forest. if one has to compromise with calories and all, one should properly, then exercise afterward. why to eat a yellow cake and add calories when it does not even stand anywhere in front of chocolate. and if you have to eat the yellow with chocolate on it then what is the fun of eating yellow. it is better to stick to chocolate, atlest you are satisfied , that if you have eaten something, it is of your choice, fully. i am a big lover of black forest cake, in true words i m a devoter of that cake. i wont even prefer eating any if offered to me, but i will certainly pick my piece if black forest is being seved or bought, whatever.

so do i! i like the color of chocolate cake and it looks delicious. and usually i like to eat things with chocolate in it,like chocolate icecream,and pure chocolate is better. but i don't eat much,because i am afraid of getting fat.

I like yellow cake better, but I usually prefer it with chocolate icing. Chocolate cake just doesn't taste like chocolate to me!

Chocolate cake is much better than yellow cake. It must be very dark, have lots of coacoa in it. It can be double chocolate or triple chocolate. The more chocolate is in a cake the better. If it is marble I like the chocolate part much better than the yellow. If I have a choice I always go for the chocolate cake.

depends what I'm in the mood for, but most of the time i like yellow better. ;]

I prefer chocolate cake especially black forest. I do like also brownies and chocolate cup cake. They are delicious.
