We all have a birthday each year, right? (Well, there are those few who were born in a leap year.) But, you know what I mean. Instead of feeling a year older and celebrating that, how about celebrating our past year of achievements. Start not saying your age when asked. You are not older, you've just had one more year of expereince and achievements. Dance through time instead of climbing through it with that aging birthday every year. Enjoy your own personal worth and increased competence. Feel ageless and alive, not a year older. I like that!
This was part of a conversation with Dr. Catherine Northrup with Oprah Winfrey on Super Soul Sunday this a.m.

For me, growing old is a great milestone. I always see the positive side rather than being afraid to become an old woman.

But, to practice a celebration of each year you are limiting yourself. Being ageless and enjoying growing older is more fun. You are not just a certain age. You have accomplished things. That is what I am prouder of than what age I am.

Its a very positive message indeed.
People never believe me when I tell them my age anyway so its easy not to worry about the chronological age.

Chronological age isn't important anyway except to family and those that know you. Biological age is only important to you and how you perceive yourself and your health. Use this celebration to our advantage. It always embarrasses me anyway. I'd rather see what I have done that year.

There are two sides to me about my age.
I have been trying to see the long years I have left instead of what I dont have left. It has been helpful.

I have started saying old enough to know you dont ask a lady that question and then make a silly face. Or simply say 25...again. lol
