Rainy Day Today
It was cold last night so I left my pellet stove on all night and the house is nice and warm this morning. It’s overcast outside and raining and I checked the temperature. It’s 33 F and there is a CHANCE of snow.
However, it will start warming up tomorrow and will be in the 70s F by the middle of the week. March weather is very unpredictable and who knows what the weather will be for the rest of the month, but warm weather will soon be here.
Then, I will be complaining about how HOT it is. I don’t like extreme temperatures, either way, TOO hot, or TOO cold. The FALL of the year is my favorite season. Too many bees in the Spring, but the Spring weather is nice and the Spring flowers are blooming everywhere.
I read that the average temperature in Ethiopia was over 100 degrees. I would not be able to live there.
I do like the CHANGE of seasons. At least we know that about every three months, the weather will change, either for better or for worse.
Here in Virginia, we have mostly MILD temperatures, no matter what the season, but it can get very COLD for a few days in winter and we have snow storms that can be VERY bad. In the summer, we can have very HOT days, sometimes several days of 100F or hotter, in a row. I just have to stay in the house when these extreme temperatures happen.
I feel sorry for those who have to work outside when the weather is very COLD or very HOT. My granddaughter’s husband works outside most of the time, driving heavy equipment.
And two of my sons are what is called “outside” salesmen. They have to DRIVE from client to client. But, it’s not the same as working outside.
Do you have to work outside in extreme temperatures?

@JudyEv Yes, office jobs are the best when the weather is bad.

@JudyEv Most people in Australia live on the coastal areas, I know. Tell me again where Bunbury is? I think you told me but I have forgotten.

@IreneVincent Bunbury is on the west coast 170 kms (105 miles) south of the capital Perth. We are actually between Boyanup and Donnybrook and 30 kms (19 miles) south-east of Bunbury.

No, I work from home.
When I was still doing normal jobs, my previous employers don't allow us to report for work during typhoons or floods.

Oh, that's even better, to be able to work from home. My daughter-in-law might be able to do that starting in August. She hopes it works out that she can. And that was good that your employers didn't expect you to come to work when there were typhoons and floods.
So, have you ever experienced a typhoon. I did when I was living in Okinawa. Two typhoons actually. And we lived by the sea wall. It was very scary..

@IreneVincent Yes, my country is often hit by a typhoon. Indeed, it's really scary.
