Having laws against teenagers having a job?

Some teens really need to make extra money to help support there families or for themselves. Should the government really be so strict about how many hours a teen can get paid or how much money they make? I am not trying to justify child labor at all! But, if the teen wants or needs a little extra money, should there be more leniency in the law?

We also have such laws in our country but people who are very poor always need extra money as their total income is less and not sufficient.
So in such case, children also work somewhere.

It should be limited still as they are still considered minors.
