It seems that no generation can escape war. Our grand-parents didn't and neither their parents. There are tho a lot of secluded areas that were "protected" by it and never knew there was a war in the first place. Nowadays our technology can track anything that moves. I have the impression at times that we , humanity can't really live in peace.Do yo have any thoughts ?

I don't think there has been a time in recorded history where there hasn't been any war. I think I read in the Guinness Book of records that the longest time of peace was only a few minutes, and it didn't count because several countries were just in momentary cease fires.

Wars can end our existence but we are tempting fate all the while. More powerful weapons are falling into "wrong hands" by the day and with hatred on the upswing it is not business as usual.
Peace is possible when big powers bury their hatchet and then tell others to do likewise. Now they are fighting proxy wars - siva
