Sometimes I just don't know how to respond to myLot discussions

I usually have a lot to say, just ask my husband! That's why he likes it when I talk to all of you and leave him alone LOL! But, there are times I just can't think of anything to say in a comment that would make any sense. If a discussion already has 20 or more comments, all basically the same, I hate to add another 'boring' comment to the mix so I might not comment at all. However, there are times when I probably say something that makes no sense to anyone but me! That's life right?! Yesterday was one of those day. I think it had more to do with the mood of the world after the bombings. I decided it was far better for me to limit my time and my comments as I just couldn't come up with anything appropriate. My time was better used elsewhere. Do you ever feel like that? Photo: pixabay.com/en/speech-balloon-talk-bubble-1027854/

Sometimes I do a driveby like...depends on my mood. If someone has a load of similar comments I'll give the like and go away.

I just read the discussion, and comment on what the person is saying.

@AbbyGreenhill yes but if there were more drive by likes the world would be a happier place

I had a post of my own today where I responded to comments mostly all in the same way. I couldn't come up with anything original for every person.

Sometimes it's impossible, that's why often people go off topic with comments, or almost off topic.

That is often a problem. How do I keep responding and keep it fresh.

@AbbyGreenhill I think here it doesn't matter if it goes off-topic. It's a different mind-set really to Bubblews.

There are not a lot of members who have a filter to what they post on this site. I was happy that I didn't have much time to read yesterday, because I figured that it would be a lot of ignorant comments regarding that horrific event. When I am on the site and there are discussions and comments that annoy me, I just close my laptop and move on to something else.

I know what you mean. There are things that often annoy me (and I'm sure I annoy others at times) so instead of saying something 'off color or nasty' I move on.

@Morleyhunt Yes, that happens. I had a whopping 27 cent day yesterday LOL...more days below 50 cents a day this month than ever.

I've been too busy to spend a great deal of time here in the last two weeks. before that I had internet issues. Too bad the bank balance also reflects my lack of mylotting.

I agree, if I can't find anything original to say I may just leave without saying anything.

Yes ...I think we all do sometimes.... sometimes discretion tells me just don't comment...other times I just like and move on..., and at other times, I can't find anything to say that has not already been said...

@AbbyGreenhill well you usually succeed... I look forward to your comments as they usually make me smile... but sometimes..., I think there are some conversations, where for me... it is better not to add to the conversation,

I only did comments yesterday it being a somber day. I didn't want to start any discussions, or respond to new ones. I am sure others felt the same way, as I just didn't feel like being in here. I will try to do a little more each day though, s i do love the interaction anc learning from others as well, all while earning.

@AbbyGreenhill That is what is so great about it, as it is always nice to be able to chat with others form other parts of the world, and learn of their cultures, all while earning. Mylot is the best, and I enjoy being here very much.

I have those days as well. If someone has already said something similar to what I was going to say, then I tend to leave a comment in his or her response box. I may also leave a silly response on the discussion if I think that the poster of the discussion will not mind.

Lol, I say just say it. I don't care if someone says the same thing to me ten times in a town in a comment. Because a comment is a comment and this is what you feel needs to be said so just say it.
