Last night, while we're on our bed but still watching some drama series, my youngest son who is already 25 years old do sleep with us. He used to sleep with us couple of months now and I've asked him, why you still sleep with us? You're already big and I know you can handle now how to sleep with your own. He answered me slowly, Mom, I just want to sleep with you because I miss you both. His father, hugs him with teary eyes of what he said and I only kiss his cheeks and told him, I love you son.
Does your son/daughter sleep with you even they are big enough?

Our son always slept in his own bed, unless he was sick.

Among my 3 sons, he's the only one who is so attached with us maybe because he was the youngest. Before, while he was a kid, he slept with his nanny. Glad your son is practicing independence because he can sleep alone in his bed.

I think that is not the reason why you are still single at age of 41, maybe the right man hasn't arrived yet, or he's still far away or if you are happy with your status, maybe you are meant to be single. Even if you don't sleep with your parents while you are still a kid, I know you are attach to them.

My son will still wander in our room in the middle of the night and climb into our bed, sometimes it will happen a few nights a month or even go several months without it happening and other times it happens a couple of times a week. He just turned 6 and for quite awhile he had not done this.

That is true, grandparents are the ones who pampered much our children, they did not even think what they give is too much that can make them spoil.

Where I am, that would sound odd for a 25 years old to be still sleeping with parents .. But I do understand that in the Philippines, it's more common ..

@ida123 I am a Filipina too, so I understand close family ties.. But I believe in letting go of the adult children.. They need to have their own privacy when they get married and have their own families ..

Not really common to us because his 2 brothers when they have their vacation, they don't sleep with us, only my youngest son did it but he's only doing this a couple of months now. We Filipinos have closed family ties, if ever my children got married, I don't want them to have their own house, if ever, they will stay with us so that we won't be lonely.

I used to sleep beside my mother until I was in high school. When I got to college, I had to stay in an apartment and it was a big adjustment for me. Right now, I have to stay in my own room at home. My mother still wants me to stay beside her but I want to sleep on my own. Hihi

@ida123 He is making "lambing". Hihihi! I think it is not so usual for boys to sleep with their parents, especially when they are already big. Hihihi!

You'd appreciate your parents once you are your own. The hardships makes you understand how much you means to them. I remember back in my youth were I just want to do things on my own, even enrolled at the school. but since graduation, then decades I started to realize how important she really is in my life. Even to this day, I feel I'm not ready to move on with her. So I chose to stay and be with her for as long as I could, which became the right choice in the end.
We appreciate them as we grow older, something I should have done when I was younger.
Yeah, you're son really loves you both.

When we are young, we can't realized what life is all about, we just need things the immediate one, and when we grow older, we realized then what life is all about, how hard is life and we can realized also how our parents sacrifice to us just to give our needs, material or not and the most important thing, we can realized now how they love us.
