I am.
I was raised with cats, dogs, birds, fish, and even turtles. So were my two sons.
Although I can't have any pets now, I am a grandparent to my older son's two Shiba Inus, a grandparent of my younger son's two cats, and and aunt to my brother's Dachshund. And of course, there is my precious friend, Orville the osprey.
I don't understand how anyone can be cruel to such innocent animals.
Care to share a photo of your precious ones?

I am not 100% animal lover. There is just one animal that i dont like and that is the snake. I have two dogs and one cat. My dog inside the house is named Indi and the one outside the house is named Tom Jones and my cat is named Olive.
I'm sharing a picture of Indi falling asleep while waiting for me to finish baking bread.

Growing up on a family farm, there were always tame and barn cats, and kittens. Too many to mention. We always had a dog on the farm, for security, so that if anyone came by to steal gasoline from the pump, the dog would bark and make us in the house aware. And then there were the chickens, the cows and the rabbits that we used to raise. We had 3 pet rabbits at one time, they belonged to my 2 younger brothers. We've always had a dog here, until our beloved Nayla, was laid to rest 7 years ago next week. Here is a picture of that beauty.

I was raised with animals too, but unfortunately we cannot have furry pets here because of the kids' allergies. We hope they can outgrow them eventually (I did) so we could have a dog! We did have a couple goldfish that lived for about 5 years.

I dislike dogs (mainly due to their owners) and am a cat person. As a kid, had cats, turtles and a rabbit.

we have a fish right now since that is all we are allowed where we live. I would love to get a dog one day once my kids are bit older and understand it takes time and take care of another living creature. They love seeing family members pets.

@DianneN our fish was a birthday present to our daughter a year ago. He is a beta fish so they normally don't keep well but he has done also. I take care of him, and the kids love watching swim around his little tank. We are teaching them to be nice to other animals.

I love cats. But I don't have one. Because I always let my cats pick their owner. So if a cat doesnt come to me, I don't have one

@DianneN I've always managed to be "adopted by cats" they just show up outside my door demanding food and attention. unfortunately, now I live in middle of the city, no stray cats any more

@Drosophila Cats know naturally who to love. I'm sorry that they can't find you, but it's good they're not wandering the streets alone in the city. Poor little babies.
