As you can see at the picture a man went with his dog to the lake , to help the dog sleep cause his dog suffers from arthritis, the cold water helps the dog to not feel the pain. Have you done something like this for your pet? I remember I had a dog who got hit by a motorcycle, she can't walk or even stand up,so every time she wants to pee or want to relieve herself she cries , and when I heard her cry even in the middle of the night , I would carry her to the bathroom and let her pee, this went on for about almost three weeks till she gets well and by the way she is pregnant that time. Do you have stories to share like this, I would love to hear form you guys. Thanks in advance for sharing.

@mypointsju i do believe that people who owns dogs or pets are more sensitive ,and kind hearted.. or maybe those who haven't got any pets don't realize yet, what joy would it bring for them to have one.

You don't really need to have a pet in order for you to have or share a beautiful story. You can befriend a homeless dog. They are always shy but once you give them something to eat everyday and gently talk to them (yes for some reason they will eventually 'understand' that you mean them no hard) they will eventually be become your friend.

@twentysix76 people usually think differently when they hear the word adopt. It's not like you have to take the animal in, some dogs are ok on where they are, they just need access to food and water. I still feed dogs outside, though some were just passing by to wherever they are going, they've stopped and took shelter near where i live, and people don't really bother them because they don't bother people, they come to my house everytime they see me outside with their tails wiggling because they know their friend has arrived (of course with food and will play with them|). Feeding homeless animals can be called rescuing as well.

@ghostie2472 I agree, got two adopted dogs I took care of them since they are just on the streets, Adopting is much better than buying for you are giving second chances to the stray ,or homeless dogs. They deserve better.

Taking care of a dog that has a special need is not easy. I've been there. It's painful but at the same time it generates happiness knowing that the dog you are taking care of is happy as well just by being with you.

that kind of commitment is something beyond me. but i guess he's lucky because the beach was near them. And the dog is lucky to have you.

Most people don't even understand why me and my wife feed homeless dogs. We even take some of them in if we see that they are in need of serious help. But we do despite knowing that there is no monetary gains for what we do, the satisfaction of helping those helpless animals is enough for us.

I don't have pets at home . But wish to have a dog in future. Just moved on to an independent house. Previously I lived in an apartment where pets are not allowed. Now I am looking for it. Will get stories to share in future.
