First signs of spring/summer....

So everyone has there own signs of knowing that spring and summer are upon us. From the first blossoms of flowers. The green of the grass. The city pools opening up. The stores carrying swimsuits and shorts. The signs are endless. But here in my town there is one thing that I think 90% of the population looks forward to every year. And that is our local snow cone stand opening. Which has the best snow cones for miles. This snow cone stand has been with this town for as far back as I can remember. And has grown to become very popular in my town. Tonight my roommate called and asked if I wanted a snow cone. I was in shock that it was already opened. But happy because that is my sign that spring is upon us. Besides the obvious, First Day of Spring, what are some signs that you know Spring is upon us?

@T_gray The last time I had a snow cone was in elementary. After school there would be a snow cone machine and they'd sell it for like .50 cents.

I can't even use the warmth as a sign since this week it is chilly again. You should look into a snow cone place. To me, it makes me feel like a kid again, eating them....they are so good

So far I haven't seen any signs of Spring being here. For one thing we had snow the other day and it is still way too cold.

I like (best) snow cones with thick, strongly-flavored syrup. Lots of syrup. Lime or cola. Those are my favorites.

@KuznVinny oh it's not like that...it's more of like an ice cream. It's hard to explain, but it's really good. Gives it a different texture.

@T_gray I've never had that. Don't know if I'd like that or not. Unless it's coffee flavor?

That is a cool way to celebrate spring. I saw on the first day of spring there were free icees at Ritas. I'm not sure if they are all over the country or just locally. We didn't go get one as the drive is pretty far. I saw the first flower that bloomed here in my yard yesterday. A small little purple one.

I know it's summer if there are many halo-halo (mixed ingredients with crushed ice and milk) vendors in the neighborhood.

Well, here you start to see more cyclists, hikers, joggers, and tourists (we're a tourist town popular with cyclists, hikers, and joggers.)
