I love this site. It shows a list of places that are for sale in the US. Some are old Victorians and some of restored old places.I enjoy getting an email with a list ever once in a while. I love architecture and Victorian is my favorite. Do you have certain sites you enjoy getting newsletters from? Do you like architecture, old houses?
OldHouses.com is a resource for old house lovers buying or selling historic real estate properties. We provide listings of historic homes for sale, an old house archive, and old house related resources.

I adore looking at the old houses.
Where is this one? Is this the house I saw recently on tv?
The one I saw was in Gardner, MA.

I look at that house and just itch to get inside and wander. We are looking at moving and the area we might go to has a couple of historic districts. Oh my. The Victorian mansions are pretty reasonably priced. What I finally noticed was the taxes: about 5 times more than what we pay now. I would love to live in a house built in the 1920s. I would also love to have a turret to call my own. We have had some fine times in Victorian bed and breakfasts. You got me started. Now to get me to shut up!!

On this site you check the different states and the listing of old homes. Interesting. I've never been to a bed and breakfast but would love to. Sometimes I just check on line for some and check them out.

@sallypup ....I found some online that had different themes. Even the house where Lizzie Borden lived is one now.

@celticeagle Generally we have found that in a bed and breakfast there is a cheaper room to rent. We have done this and found it okay- often we ended up sharing the bathroom with another person but it worked out. We at least got to sleep and eat and wander in a Victorian mansion. The ambience! One Queen Anne mansion in Texas had romantic music playing all night and shadowy hallways and Victorian antiques. And that maniquin set up to look like a Victorian lady.... very ghostly when you needed to use the loo late at night.

@celticeagle I live in a tiny remote community and we have vintage shacks. There are some beautiful old places in the next town though.

@softbabe44 ...The workmanship is so much better. Back when people actually cared about doing a good and lasting job.

Old houses look kind of neat, but I wouldn't want to live in one. They are frequently not well insulated and drafty, The electric bill would be high. I prefer modern houses.

I love looking at beautiful houses but not knowledgeable enough in architecture to truly appreciate it. However, I do enjoy sites that i get newsletters from. It's from a planner community member on Instagram. I like planners and decorating them. I get ideas from the planner community.

I thought it was the best of the ones on Flickr.com. I have a lot in my personal pics too. Some round ones and rather unusual ones.
