Society is unacceing and to harsh on the youth. They expect you to go to school and work. I mean who wouldn't its survival right? But why pressure the youth to look for a job but make them feel bad when they don't get it. These places put up signs saying they're hiring but they expect you to have experience how do you obtain experience when people refuse to hire you because you lack experience. do they assume that just because of your age you should have certain experience. How do we expect our youth to succeed when we make it hard.

It is hard to find a job as a youth - I agree. All places prefer experience and they don't even give them a chance (especially if it's entry level)

@Foreinrein And not willing to give any chance as the person may have the potential in learning.

It's indeed depressing. I own a real estate firm which started last October 2015. When I was hiring a secretary, it wasn't my requirement that she should be experienced. In fact she doesn't have a degree, but I gave her a shot at having a job and she's proving to me every single day that I didn't make a mistake in hiring her.

Yes some of the most hard working people are the ones you didn't give a chance. I saw a young woman protesting in front of a store yesterday because they told her they where hiring workers with no experience. When she asked why she didn't get the job they told her it was because she didn't have the experience they wanted her to.

@Foreinrein some companies want to cut cost by hiring experienced ones so they could avoid the cost in training, but if we don't give people the chance to show their capability, who would?
