A balot is a duck egg and 16-20days old. I dont know how they prepare it but i enjoy eating it by putting salt and spicy vinegar. Its usually found on every street in the Philippines. YUMMY!! Delicious!! Yum! yum! yum! @allknowing

Haha, the undeveloped chick is the best part of it. I remembered the first time i ate it, it involved lots of stuff coming out of my mouth.

HI there, two nights ago I had that too. To some it might be gross eating an embryo, but to us, it's just simply yummy.

I am Filipino but I can eat Balot. ?????? I can eat other exotic foods like beetle and bat. But I can't swallow balot

Yeah, I totally agree. Its like the durian fruit, taste like heaven but smells like hell.
