Sometimes these two words go well together. But there are a few times that they don't. When you lose the balance between the two. How would you describe a person who avoids every chance of help and wants to do everything on his/ her own? A person who believes that if you need help you've got to look at your hands. A person who shoves opportunity of getting any help. No man is an island , right? Then why is it some people feel like they needed to do things alone and that they can't depend on anyone. If you're friends with this kind of person what advice can you leave him/her? Will you categorize him strong and stubborn? When can that person a full blown stubborn or strong? Can you cite some instances?

I think taking help is vital in life at one time or another my friend. One must not be so stubborn to not take it. I had been like that in the past, but now I realize I must often take help.

Neither. I think that kind of person is too proud. But I just can't judge that person at all because he or she might have had issues with trust. When people have issues with trust, they tend to solve their problems on their own rather than depend on people. Another thing might be, he or she had been disappointed several times by friends who promised to help but never did.

I guess we can only tell upon knowing the reason behind. Trust is a big thing.
