Bubur ChaCha (sweet potato and taro in coconut milk) is a sweet and rich tasting dessert soup. "Bubur" means porridge in Indonesian and Malay and ChaCha means a mixture of various things in Chinese dialect. The main ingredients include fresh coconut milk, pandan leaves, sugar, taro, sweet potato and sago. Whenever I'm feeling hungry after a meal, I would prefer having this sweet and creamy dessert soup. It's also cheap to get at $1.50 a bowl. What rich tasting dessert do you like? Photo: I had this thrice this week!

Yeah they add ice and coconut milk, no ice cream added. If you request for ice cream it'd turn into another type of dessert called ice cream ice kachang.

@Ladypeace maybe ice cream ice kachang is like halo-halo here. by adding milk i meant evaporated milk, but then, i guess that would clash with the coconut milk.

Oh! Bubur Chacha. It sounded like an anime I used to watch way back. Anyway, we also have that especially during Lenten Season. We locally call it "tabirak" or "binignit".

Yes! They're similar both using coconut milk, root vegetables and pearl sagos. Enjoy!

I really like fruit pies and cookies are always good too. I don't much like excessively sweet desserts.

I love fruit pies and cookies too! Yes, it has to be just the right amount of sweetness, I don't fancy overly sweet desserts.
