Way back in the last century I joined London Underground. After getting my LU mug, it was off to training school for several weeks.
Dealing with heavy and fairly fast moving trains, not to mention electric rails at just the right height to trip over, part of our training was being safe on line.
We weren't taken straight out to the tracks, but had some practise on this mock up, in the picture. There is also the trackside equipment used in locally controlling the electric current.
Despite all the practise on the mock ups, it was still a little on the tense side, as we went for our first 'track walk' with real trains and live current.

After reading your discussion, I still have no idea what's the name of your work. I am not familiar with London Underground. Anyway, I hope you have a good time with your work.

Was this a club or were you an actual employee?
