Imagine that?
Here I am in sunny Florida, the Sunshine State, and I'm allergic to the sun. I'm also allergic to the sun at home in Connecticut. Actually, I'm allergic to it wherever I am, whenever it's shining.
I sneeze. I sneeze again. Perhaps I sneeze one or two more times. Then it stops. It doesn't happen if I am wearing sunglasses.
I had a sneezing attack this morning when I flung open the window to answer Orville the osprey's hello. The sun was directly in my eyes. I sneezed to much, that I wound up with a nosebleed.
I am also allergic to CIPRO.
Do you have any allergies?

I sneeze when I enter from hot to cold environment and vice versa...
Strong perfumes also make me sneeze and give me headaches.

Both my sister and my son sneeze in the sun. Both also have blond hair and blue eyes. My sister said she thought it had something to do with the eye color but who knows.

@ramapo17 I don't think it is an actual allergy per say just something that happened to some blue eyed people when out in the sun.

@DianneN A stuck sneeze good name for that, that is exactly what that is. My mom had cataracts so far so good with me, I don't have them.

Sneezing and sunshine have nevere heard of it. Why should you sneeze is what confuses me. I can understand if there is pollution around which normally causes sneezing. Is the sun polluting the air?
I am allergic to sour things I cannot have citrus fruits, for example.

@ricki_911 That is just awful. I have to wear an extra heavy duty sunblock on my face or I get blisters, too. Otherwise, other than sneezing, I'm ok.

Wow, you really must have sneezed hard to get a nosebleed. I hope that you're over it now.
I am allergic to a few medications, one of which is an antibiotic.
I think that I got off lucky, we have a niece, she's a grown woman with 2 children, but she is allergic to nuts and peanuts. Even to this day she has to be careful if she's out and people have brought food to share. She's always been so diligent, I hope that her daughters don't develop allergies. Stacey has carried an epi-pen since she was about 5 or 6 years old.

My daughter in law is allergic to peanuts, and has to carry an epi pen, too. However, she can use peanut oil. Other nuts just give her a headache. My grandson recently developed an allergy to shellfish. He is sad over it, because he loves shrimp, oysters, and lobster. Poor baby.
My nosebleed finally stopped. I think I blew my brains out!

@DianneN Don't you find that allergies to shellfish are increasing the past 10 years or so? I have found that there are more and more workplaces that ban fish and shellfish for this reason. Hopefully he will outgrow that allergy. We were lucky that our son never suffered from any allergies.
Be gently going out into the sun so that you don't reopen your bloody nose. Its bright and sunny and mild here for a nice change of pace. I am planning on sitting outside in it this afternoon.

@Juliaacv I only know two other people with a shellfish allergy. My grandson gets a red rash on his cheeks, but it could get worse. We won't take a chance with that happening. My older son thinks he's allergic to pollen. I think he had a cold. My younger son is made of stronger stuff. Lol! I'm sitting on the lanai in the sun now, with my sunglasses on, and my iPad in my hand. Next to me is an ice filled glass of water. It's so hot today. This way, I can run back into the air conditioning. I didn't feel like living in the pool all day. It should cool off by Tuesday.

If I was allergic to the sun I'd shoot myself! How did you get that tan if you are allergic to the sun?

@DianneN So technically you aren't allergic to the sun - your eyes are...I guess.

This year was the worst for me with allergies. I was so sick for months that I ended up having to borrow money from my parents to pay my bills because I was too sick to work. I went to the doctors and was fully checked out and nothing was wrong with me! It's crazy how bad allergies can get.

@Bellatricks I've had vertigo and it's just awful. The anemia can be taken care of. Being indoors all the time is horrible!!!!! I hope you feel better soon.

Yes. There is a list. But the worse one is to a specific mold that is in the dust when the wind comes from the east (where there is lots of land) instead of coming from the sea (where the air is clean).

I do. I am allergic to any fragrant flowers but i guess its just the pollen that triggers it. I am allergic to sea foods so I dont eat shrimps, lobsters, crabs but i am not allergy to clams or mussels so i think only i am allergic to any sea creatures that changes its shell's color when its cooked. And lastly I am allergic to any pennicillin based medicines
