Loosing friends

When i was in school , i had a huge group of friends of about 10 -12 . And each and everyone was a great friend , we knew each other's good and bad . But after completing class 12 we all got seprated and went to diffrent cities and colleges . Slowly all contacts got broken and we got involved in life . I recently passed by my friend in mall and we just smiled and went to diffrent ways . I think it is strange that some people who were once so good friends are now totally strangers . I feel life changes so drastically ..i was such a jolly person and now i m a introvert . I do not feel like talking to anyone . And i have very few friends

That's normal. People change and so are the circumstances.

It is the same way with me. I feel so uncomfortable when I run into anyone I know. I just smile and wave and keep walking. I never can come up with small talk. The only socialization I really get is through facebook lol.

@avi256 one girl I was best friends with for over 10 years. She changed a lot and became someone I couldn't trust. She ruined out friendship and I no longer talk to her at all. It has been that way for about 2 years now. Sometimes I miss her but mostly I'm better off without her.

Its common with most of us but sometimes I wonder why it happens. Few years back, with whom we used to share our secrets, now we cant be that free or expressive to them.

I used to feel that too. I used to have good friends in high school, but now we rarely contact each other and even when we meet up, we don't have much common topics to talk about. Our mindsets are different now, and the paths we are walking are different as well. I guess it's just life. I learned to let go of the sad feelings, and just move forward. I do meet new friends at work, and now in the neighborhood as well (since I became a work-from-home mom). Sometimes, it seems like I am closer to the neighbors, as we are meeting each other more often. One thing I am blessed is that my husband was actually my high school friend and my good friend as well, we are still on the same page now, so I think it's good to have him as my partner and best friend too!

It only comes to show that very little things in this world is permanent, everything changes, even friends and our attitudes.

When I lose a friend, I consider it their loss and not mine.

Story of our life. The one who once used to be my best friend is a stranger to me now. We are all connected to each other on facebook. But the real thing that used to be has gone.

I'm not surprised, because that happens to us all.

This is how usually it goes, not all our school friends will remain that great friend forever. Only few of them will continue to be your all time friends , but you keep loosing old friends and then at the same time time you keep making new friends too...
