How are earnings here in MyLot calculated?

Alright, I know we should even be talking about this but I am just curious. It's just curiosity. I just started today and I've earned a little. Made some comments and liked few posts and all, and i've earned a little.. Just curious if anyone knows how things are calculated? I mean, what are the factors for MyLot to give you a certain amount for your activities? If this topic is not allowed, please let me know.

You get paid when people respond to you and make comments directed at you. You don't get paid for your own posts or responses. So if you wrote a post and no-one commented on it or liked it, you would get nothing at all for it.

I am not surebexactly either but it all has to to with interaction, comment, reposnd and posts. Also don't give one liners or useless comments as it won't get you much. I am not the best person to answer this but I hope it helps.

Thank you. I like interacting through forum sites, so I am here not mainly for the money as that comes next. There are plenty of good topics here and people are nice to newbies like me, well, i'm sure most are nice to everyone.

It's explained in the Earnings Program FAQ, but the gist of it is that you earn based on the value of your contributions to the community. Other members determine the value of the posts you make. A post that gets lots of interaction from other members is seen as more valuable than a post that doesn't get as much interaction, and the post with more interaction will earn more. Other than that general information, myLot has never disclosed the specifics of the algorithm they use to calculate earnings. It helps them prevent abuse and keeps those who aren't honest from gaming the system.

True. It does help keeping some things hidden. I really don't mind. As long as this system works and we all get a fair share from our contribution, i'm good with that. Since I started today, my earning started from .01 to more than .10. Which is nice, IMO.

I've read it--asked questions--got all kinds of answers! Now I just do what I do and don't worry about the earnings.

I see that some fellow mylotters mentioned interaction already. Anyway, there is no exact formula being used to calculate earnings here on myLot. If there is, only people behind the site have knowledge to it. Just keep on interacting with other members and don't bother yourself with how earnings are calculated. Happy mylotting!

It is alright to be curious but the thing is not the earnings that is important here. It's the truth because there's really nothing to worry since the site is as straight as you can find concerning paying you what is reflected on your earnings. As for the formula I don't really think we can ever have it but there again what's the point? I feel that it is on us to make quality postings here since we can gain more friendships and knowledge as well from this.

I haven't been here that long so I am unsure. I think it is based on how much interaction you have.
