What to do with Discussion With No Response?

I believe that for as long as we are very active interacting around, the chances of having a discussion with no response is very, very minimal if not zero. But what if one day, one of my discussions did not get any response at all? Well, I think I will just delete that post. Would you do the same?

When you go against the rule, your posts will surely be reported but if not it is good that you delete it yourself.

thankfully, so far (since started mylotting again) all of my discussions were noticed haha.. if ever it'll happen after like a week, i'll keep it and let it sit there. some people check discussions by a follower/following.

Yes, a week is enough for me. If still no response then I'd delete and improve, change the title and re post.

I put in a lot of energy into my discussions. If one of them will not merit any comments then i will just leave them on there and not delete. I'm sure one of these days a fellow member will notice it and make a comment.

@salonga Thank you but my earlier discussions got only very little comments because i was not very active then and did not interact more.

Those of us who only post one a day or one every other day can be pretty sure we will get a response. I actually look through the "No comment list " looking for copy and pastes every morning and If I see someone I know i always comment just to get them off that list....

@PainsOnSlate you are right, we have to be responsible and caring members of this site to keep this site for long. If we care that much for each other as well, this is will make mylot community the best place to stay.

I remember how awful Bubblews was with cheaters and thieves. It doesn't hurt to spend 5 minutes in the morning to make sure that isn't happening here... @salonga There are a bunch of us who do it, I've seen their comments on cheaters when I go to leave a comment AFTER I REPORT THEM. When I see a friends post with no comments I will take the minute to respond and get them off the lost and lonely list...What else are friends for?

sometimes when I explore. I see some posts with no interaction/comments at all. But the author still posts many even though they get no responses. So far, my discussions are well-interacted with you my friends. But if I will have one without any comments, i will not delete that; who knows, somebody will read and comment in time?

@salonga sometimes too, I make the first move so that others might see my comment and they will follow.

@ridingbet Yes, making the first move is an effective way to bring in responses on your own posts.

Based on hiw many responses you have from this discussion - it appears as though you do not have to worry about it. Lol! I would suggest tagging your discussions with common words - you never know when someone may run across it and bring it back to life. Thats why I think anyway.

I donĀ“t delete any of my posts. Maybe they will have responses later. Anyway, what I do to get at least some responses is to tag my posts.

Tagging is a good idea but sometimes I tend to forget. Thanks for the reminder!

@akalinus I believe it is adding tags on your discussions after you have composed it. It is the last space to fill in after writing what is in your mind. You have to enter up to 5 tags that best describe your discussion before hitting the 'start discussion' button.

What exactly does tagging do or mean? When are you supposed to tag and when not?

@salonga Yes, we have to be positive always. Making a topic is not easy, we encounter sometimes brain freeze, then if no one will respond in an instant you're going to delete it? No, just give more time.

You'll never get a zero response considering the numerous interactions you've made everyday. Those you do interact will have guilt if not make a brief glance and say something about what you posted.

I will just leave my post there, and not delete it. It's something I wrote, and it expressed my feeling or thought at that time. Perhaps some day later, someone might find it interesting and respond to it as well, especially when we have the "you might also like to read" feature here.
