The wedding we attended to last Sunday was beautiful! It was held in a winery where they have a non religious chapel surrounded by beautiful rose garden and the hectares of grapevines.
It took us two hours to get there. but we arrived there at least half an hour before the ceremony, so we had the chance to walk around the garden and take some photos ..
At first we were a little anxious about the weather but the sun came out and pushed the clouds away.. It was sunny the rest of the day.. It turned out a glorious day for the wedding..
Anyway, it was a little emotional as all weddings are. But there were also a lot of laughter.. We learned more about the young couple and how they met etc..
I always get teary when couples say their vows at weddings especially when they make their own vows. Do you also get a little emotional when listening to wedding vows? ..
Bess..

@Lucky15 Oh wow that is a very sweet story, I think I'd have cried myself. My sister is around 20 years younger than my brother in law, her husband. People might look at you a little strangely here, but I think older men vs younger women are more common.
Honestly if we look back at the history of courtship, most of the time the women were younger than the men. Especially in arranged marriages where the man was looking for a woman to birth a heir.

@ScribbledAdNauseum that their love story is not common,( the bride is less than 30 years younger than the groom), they stand strong and took all the "punches" of intrigues, throw dirts on her but still hang on

That looks like a very enchanting setting for a wedding. I would love to attend any event there really.
I have only ever been to three (actually MAYBE four) weddings. The first one I can recall (I think there was one before this when I was younger) was my cousins and it was held out in the country with a very pretty setting at a very pretty church. The second one was my own wedding. It was also out in the country at a very nice, but modern, church.
My sister had her wedding outdoors and we all sat on hay bales. It was a very pretty, and humorous ceremony. I caught the bouquet at this ceremony. I don't recall whether I cried at my cousin's wedding but I did cry at my own and at my sister's just a wee bit.

i'm glad the weather cooperated. it's good to be early because you get to roam around and relax before the ceremony.
