A Tiny Cut Can Be So Painful

On Easter I managed to cut my finger on a knife. Once it stopped bleeding I realized it was just a tiny cut and didn't need stitches. I put a band-aid on it and went on about my day.
Since then, I've managed to bang this stupid finger a million times and it's just causing so much pain for such a tiny, little cut. Of course it's on my right hand which is my dominant hand so it's no wonder that I'm constantly banging it.
With the amount of pain you would think I had almost cut my finger half off

@Marilynda1225 I feel for you. Paper cuts are the worst things going. More painful then anything else.

I'm sorry you are having such a time with your cut. I managed to cut my right index finger yesterday and was also afraid it was much deeper the way it bled. Instead it was just a smidgen deeper than a paper cut. I am not having as bad a luck as you with banging it, but it still hurts when I try to use it to press down on anything very hard.

@Marilynda1225 You are absolutely right. Then you fell clumsy because you're trying not to use it.

I have a cut on my wedding ring finger. Strange, because I had no idea how it got there. I've been cut and scratch free since we came to FL, but when we get Doodles upon our return, I'll have 8 months of love scratches. Hope your cut heals quickly. You may need a finger protector.

I never thought of a finger protector. Band-aids keep coming off. Lucky you having 8 mos of Doodle love to look forward to

Sometimes even the smallest cut can throb so bad that you'd think you were in a battle. Of course when it is on your hand you are going to smack it on everything at least twice. The only solution would be to wear a sling.

I wish I could surrender and let everyone else do the work around the house

If you cut it on glass I'd worry about something being in the cut...but since you cut it with a knife..hum..it will get better.

@Marilynda1225 Cuts happen in this house daily. Life goes on minus a little skin.

It will get better and probably be good as new in a day or two.

I think the small cuts are alway worst than bigger ones, and it seems like you do bumb them more than when they are not injuried. Just be careful..

Amazing how you never notice your digits until there is a nerve acting up. I have done some really bad things to my hands when i was wood carving and several needed stitches...I know what you mean..

Poor you! I've had similar experiences, both with minor cuts that are just so painful and also banging more serious cuts and worrying about interfering with the healing process. Our hands are so important to us, and when we get even a tiny injury it can plague us for quite some time.
Heal quickly!

That always seems to be the case when you get a little cut. You keep hitting it.

Yesterday I got a little cut on my right hand and since then there is not one job I can do without hitting that painful spot. Its amazing how such a little injury can cause so much pain.
