I am now officially wireless - and I don't mean a wireless bra!

My tablet that I ordered from QVC is to arrive today. In order to use it I had to finally hook up my wireless router that my husband got me for Christmas... Did I rush into hooking it up? No, for several reasons. I didn't really need it and I was afraid of messing it up! It works fine so I guess I did it correctly. It wasn't very difficult. If I had opened the package at Christmas I would have realized that! Oh well, bring on the tablet! Photo is mine.

It's really awesome to go wireless. It means you have level up now. That's good to know.

Wireless is good. I was on Wi-Fi for a while. Then In realized it was slow and kept disconnecting. So, I plugged in my ethernet cable.Good luck with yours.

I still have the Ethernet installed. I need the router for the tablet. But I did remove the Ethernet and the computer was fine w/o it.

Now that you are using the wireless features of the router you need to ensure that you set a secure password and do not use the default settings of the router.

@AbbyGreenhill You can log into the router via your browser, then change the router access data and the wireless access data.

Going wireless is a great thing. I have my own lap top and my husband has his own lap top. It is neat for me to be in one room with mine and for him to be in another room with his. Or, many times, we will be sitting in the same room with our lap tops and surfing the net independently.

@AbbyGreenhill Yes, we take our lap tops on vacations too. It is nice because most hotels and condos these days has wi fi.

My husband, thank goodness, doesn't use a computer. He can fix one, but can't use one! I never take my laptop out of the this room, except when we go on vacation I take it.

Nice upgrade! Well, some new technologies are plug and play nowadays and they are user-friendly. I am pretty sure that connecting other gadget to your router would be a breeze.

@AbbyGreenhill well, you can connect the TV and printers if you want to... I wish it can also support washing machines and automatize a sprinkling system for a garden haha
