Overindulgence Causes Problems For NHS

It is not just the common cold that brings some people to the A&E departments at hospitals it is now overindulgence. Greed springs to my mind. Some people sat and ate a three course meal which is enough for anybody. They then sit and feed their faces on easter eggs , cake and goodies , get a bad stomach then take themselves to the emergency departments and expect the doctors to cure them. What is wrong with people don't they have any common sense or know if you pig out it will hurt their stomachs. They should drink a few pints of water then sit on the toilet and let nature take its course. Our NHS is in crisis and people just don't use it for its proper purpose. They would be the first to complain if their relatives could not get emergency medicine for life threatening illnesses but they clog up the system with stupid behaviour.

I agree. People need to have common sense when it comes to over eating. Using the emergency room as their cure all for gluttony isn't wise.

It is just a waste of resources that could go towards elderly care and lots of other good causes.

I think the Government, of whatever colour, could be doing more to encourage healthier lifestyles, without becoming a total nanny state

So many people have been raised in a nanny state and don't know how to sort themselves out. I think they should threaten to charge for time wasters as long as it does not put off genuine people.

It is a good job I am not working the ER or I would have to tell people how stupid they are. I would not last long would I.

Over eating is bad for you, I eat until I begin feeling full then drink lots of water, best way to control your eating and weight gain
