Mom, you have been gone a long time but I want you to kow that I appreciate
all that you taught me. I often worried about you and my dad often made fu n of
of you yet you never would say anything mean about him,You were my center,my inspiration and often after marriage if I felt down you had words to encourage me
I never really knew why you loved him but admired y ou for not buying into it when he picked on you. You seemed to know your self worth always. This is
just to say thanks f or being my mom, for being a role model, for showing me
how to have kindness and compassion for all others.Thank you for beng my Mom.

My mother was my hero too. She was awesome. I believe your mother listens to you even now after she has been gone a long time.

@Hatley I too miss my mom. I do believe that our moms never leave our side and become our Guardian Angels. i have seen my mom a couple of times when she has come to me when things have been quite rough.

This is beautiful. It touched a few heart strings. It was almost as if you knew my mom. I know your mom knew and knows how you feel. I often wondered why my parents got married. What did she see in him? I may never know, but they made me who I am so I thank them for that.

@Hatley My mom had once told me she chose my dad over someone else. They were all friends so I even knew who it was. When she told me that, I just couldn't believe it! The other man was so funny and loving towards his wife. I didn't understand. I still don't. I guess some things are best left to chance.

sounds like your strength and attitude came from her, I got my temper from my mom, and my patience and kindness from my dad

@vandana7 True indeed, there is nothing like love of a mother and kids are most comfortable with mothers, even when the mothers are in bad mood!

We often tend to take them for granted. But it's when we lose them is when we truly appreciate them. I hope everyone realize that.
A lovely and heart felt message you wrote for your mother. I am sure she got the message and she is smiling at you from wherever she is now.

A great tribute and I cannot help remembering my mother as well.
As she is aging, I could not help feeling her physical presence especially after I have married my husband and had to move out of my humble abode. I will make a surprise visit with the family this weekend thank you for your motivating reminder here.

Indeed a good tribute to your mother. I also remember my mother who always supported me in times, good or bad and taught me good values in life, values which I do not see many parents teaching to their kids these days.
