Time for Trivial Pursuits Kite Flying

I don't know what gives me greater pleasure than doing little things. Other than doing chores around the house, I see great in trivial pursuits. One of them is kite flying. I go on to the terrace and let my kite soar away over the rooftops.
Do you think that I am wasting my time?
Have you any such trivial pursuits that let your mind unravel?

He also likes rhymes...favorite would be I think rain rain go away..lol. Little girl loves This old man..he played one..and five little monkeys ...I just have to put the second one and her face lights up.

@vandana7 That is so fascinating. Dancing is an art and I like the way children try out complicated moves. I mean they are learning to walk straight now.The girl seems to be very energetic and enthusiastic. You must be having a great time with them.

I cannot pin point at any one little thing that I indulge in. It could be the joy I get when I see a new bud, on a plant that I would have planted, the card games I play online and the joy I get when I have defeated the computer.....................
Flying kites is quite a sport.

Yes, 'times there a-changing' and I too like a good game against the computer or online against some friend from Russia or Australia. Indeed, the modern man needs very little beyond a computer and an internet connection. Enjoy! Modern man! Have a nice time!

I haven't flown a kite in years, but it was much fun and relaxing to do.

So, what is stopping you? When you turn that corner and make the decision to be a child once more, you discover happiness. But do not be careless!

If you're enjoying yourself is all that matters.

Of course you aren't wasting your time. Things you do for yourself to make you happy is never a waste of time. Sulking and complaining is a complete waste of time.
Well, I decorate notebooks with my stickers!

@gofsey My son tried that when he was 8 or 9 and sold what he made to his classmates

Some times we need to do things that are "trivial" to set the mind free. for a bit. :)

No, you're not wasting time.
None lately. I've been busy working from Monday to Sunday. I still do chores and then sleep. Those have been my daily activities.

Try making paper objects -- origami. I know it will be a waste of time considering your busy schedule. But just fold a piece of paper and leave it there until you pass that way again. Make a boat, airplane, butterfly or flower. One friend of mine makes packets and sells them in medical supply stores (pharmaceuticals). They use it for packing medicines.
