I will always cherish the book from Paulo Coelho entitled "The Alchemist." It is all about a young boy who went on an adventure in search for a treasure. On his journey, he met different people who in one way or another had affected him on his journey. He was challenged but did not give up.
I love this book for it ignite a flame in me. It gives me pieces of advice about love and aspirations in life.Since, I found out about "The Alchemist", it became my favorite and Paulo becomes an author that I dream of meeting in person.
Is there any books that you have read which gives a spark on your life and becomes your favorite afterwards? What is it all about?

What reading materials do you love to read? I interviewed other people and some of them answered me that they do not love to read books. Some prefer to read newspapers, others love to read comics.

I have read that book and I taught that book to my students. I have no favourite in particular though. I love reading and I have my own collection of books which got lost or stolen. Nowadays I just download iBooks from my iPad. Each book that I have read has become a favourite after awhile and then a new one comes along.

I also download books using my phone so that when I am bored, I will just read those downloaded book. The only drawback is when I run out of battery then I do not have something to read at all. Since I read "The Alchemist"by Paulo Coelho, I become interested in his other works too. I already bought and read "Brida", "Eleven Minutes", and " The Fifth Mountain."

@toniganzon Sure but I am not active in twitter. I love his thoughts. And oh by the way, I read another novel but this time, it is with a different author. It is entitled "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Joseph Heller's Catch-22 was the first anti-authoritarian and cynical / sceptical comedy I read and a huge influence on my own subversive tendencies

I haven't read that yet. Yes, what we are reading influences us as a person. I have a collection of books here in my room and most of them.are works from Paulo Coelho. I love inspiring books and books all about travelling.

@arthurchappell It is the first time I have heard his name. Do you know any famous works he published? I would like to look for it in our bookstore here once I get the chance.

I love to read love stories and suspense too. But, I avoid reading horror stories because after reading it I can still imagine what I read and I could not sleep at night. That is why I also do not watch horror movies.

I use to be a voracious reader in my youth which is the reason for my need for glasses today. I would read into the wee hours of the early morning. My mother was the person who gave me my love of books. I still keep books whose pages have turn yellow and brittle.with time, unwilling to throw them away.
