There are some excellent and interesting writers here, some well educated, others not so much. Yet, I enjoy reading so many of your posts. To me, they are genius!
My friends know of my little granddaughter, whom I discuss quite often. I'd like you to meet my grandson, too. This is his kindergarten photo, taken at school this year.
He, his daddy, and his grandpa (my son and my hubby) all have genuine genius IQ's.

Outstanding and what a little cutie. When my son was starting the 5th grade they gave him an IQ test. In 20 years he was the first to top it out at 169, the teacher said no telling what his real IQ is. He now will have his Master's Degree this May in Astrophysics, with 3 more years for his PhD. He wants me to call him Doctor. I told him to record it I will say it once. He may be becoming a Doctor of Physics, but he will always be my baby baby, my littlest one, my monster boy, my brat baby, My Danny boy.

You have a smart guy on your hands! Neither my husband or son want to be called Doctor, even though they both have their doctorates. My hubby only uses it when we are in hotels, for better service. Lol! His faculty and students always called him Professor or Doctor. They still do when we run into them.

@DianneN We don't know yet what Danny will end up doing. He is leaning towards teaching at a university as well as research.

Handsome guy there - your grandson
With Internet being round the corner it is difficult to cull out geniuses here.

He looks like a cute, happy kid. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I bet he'll be a smarty as well. I think my IQ (last time it was tested) was about two sds above the mean--enough to call me a smarty, but not a genius. But if you heard me play piano at six, you just might have wondered...heh heh.

@hereandthere Yes, I was improvising at my friend's house last night. I like to pretend I'm Keith Jarrett, though I can't play anything like him. Alas, I don't have a piano at my house. A lot of people who are musical are also into math, it seems.

Your grandson is so handsome! I know you're proud of him! I was told years ago that my sister (who was a teacher) found out what my IQ was. I was told it was pretty high but no one ever told me the number. I don't think about it much. But I do know that I LOVE learning. And now that I'm about to get my life settled again, I'm hoping to be able to return to some continuing education at either my alma mater (Providence College) or one of the other schools in the area. I just have this burning need to keep learning more.

@DianneN Yes, definitely! I have taken a few creative writing classes at PC and loved them so much. I would really love to learn more languages, too. Travel is something I hope to do. I've been to Italy and that just whetted my appetite for more! So I'd love to do both! :)

@DianneN Hehe I love his hair! It's actually a trend for the little boys to like the surfer style hair and that curl is on point! It's a trend right now , he will change his hair style very often.

@infatuatedbby I'm sure many things will change over the years, so hair is something we don't fight. Lol! Thanks.

@SIMPLYD His vocabulary and reasoning skills were very obvious, but he has been fascinated by science. He attends a private school where they incorporate science into almost every subject. He also takes two different science classes a week after school. Math skills are unbelievable!

Has he ever grown, I guess the first picture that I saw of him he was only a couple of years old. I think that it will be interesting to see what field of study he takes on as he grows and matures, although I know that he loves the sciences currently.
Won't it be nice to get to hug that little guy when you get home again?

@DianneN That may be why he looks older than he is, if he's taller than others in his class that is. He's taking two science classes and he's only five or six years old? That's a bit hard to imagine.

He's almost as tall as his sister, and I will gobble them both up as soon as I see them. He still loves anything to do with science and continues to take two classes at two different venues weekly. That's in addition to religious school, skateboard, tai kwon do, and ice skating.

I was on the board of the condo I lived in years ago and the President was a Mensa member...the lady had little to no street smarts nor did she know how to talk with anyone who wasn't as smart as her...I'd rather be just smart enough and I am.

What a good-looking genius! If a poor man like me is not considered a genius; then I am far from being considered genius. I am generous though!

@DianneN For sure I am no genius coz until now I am still poor. And I think I am not even smart but dumb because I got nothing already and still give something to others. Wait, wait . . I think there is something wrong with my second sentence . . I already got nothing and still have something to give?! It does not make sense, ey? Whew, I think I am not only dumb but stupid, too!
