Leg's hurt but I can still walk

Philippines
March 31, 2016 2:21am CST
Looks like me walking had taken it's toll yesterday. Not only I walk for more than an hour but also walk my dogs half of that and then we went to the vaccination and they almost fainted. When I got home, I didn't rest immediately as I was doing some other errands in the afternoon. Now, this morning I can still feel the pain and decided not to exercise anymore. I have already taken pain killers twice today hoping for a better recovery tomorrow. It's possible that walking upstairs up and down cause my legs to get exhausted. I didn't felt it until later.

You have over used your leg muscles @Letranknight2015 It is best to give them some rest and recover from the pain.

Sometimes, we get too excited by our exercise and overdo it. Not good. Better be moderate.

Yes, that is one of the reason why your legs get pain. Hope, tomorrow that muscle pain will be better.

I hope so @ida123 now I understand why others do it four or three times a week instead of every day.

@Letranknight2015 Yes, that is one of the reasons. So be careful next time, do it gradually.

Rest your legs. Put it up on a stool. If you are stout, chances are your legs cannot carry your weight

Now that you mention it @Yar_Joey It seems like that weight loss thing for the past two months didn't seemed to have made a difference. I think walking up the stairs really did it this time. well, back to cycling, like the doctor advised

yes, even with just walking you can strain your legs and knee. Because bulk of the weight is carried by the knees. It also where most of the muscle and and start so the pull and push during walking will cause strain to your knees. even with pain reliever, you can put Ice pack for 20 minutes and elevate your knee. RICE. R-rest, I-ice, C-compression, E-elevate. this is the usual first aid you do in strains/sprains for the first 24-48 hours. After which, you put hot packs. hope this will help.

I remember we used to have an ice pack here before but kinda lost it along the way. You think salompas can ease the pain? I will do this after dinner and see how it works, i hope it relieves the pressure. Im glad you know about dealing with muscle pain Unfortunately, I no longer have cold or hot packs.
