The peace is shattered...

Ordinarily, my two babies have a 3 hour nap in the afternoon once they have eaten their lunch... Today however they have decided not so.
The older one went down without any trouble, the younger one however decided that sleep was not going to be happening until well over an hour of messing around, then less than 10 minutes of the younger one being asleep, the older one woke.
In the roughly 3 hours that they normally sleep, I tend to do a bit of housework and have some lunch, surf the web and generally enjoy the peacefulness that comes with them being asleep. Not today!
Now in between trying to write bits to this discussion (which is taking a while) I'm having to entertain certain young men who did not want normal nap time and my peace is shattered!
The joy of small kids...

ah yes! I remember those years when I was a young mom .. Now that my boys are all grown up with their own lives away from home, I sometimes wish I could turn back time .. enjoy every minute with your little ones because they grow up so quick..

I also have a nearly 18 year old too, I know only too well how the time flies in the grand scheme of things... As I've been told: The days are long, the weeks and months fly by and the years are short. It's very true!

dear bobby expect this to happen every once in fifteen days or less. Sometimes kids get into the I-want-to-trouble-mama gear, and unfortunately get stuck in that gear. So You have to put on your I-can-handle-you cap and enjoy the moments to the fullest. I know sounds weird, but my kids are big now and I actually miss those moments and look forward to having to do the same with my grand kids. But can't take the fun out of my daughters life, so will just let her enjoy hers.

Oh, more than anything it just means I've had extra cuddles and play time, hopefully it means there will be less messing around at bed time and they will sleep soundly :D
