Today around 2PM, my dad-in-law called up and asked, 'daughter, are you at home? are u safe? See! What has happened in our city!'
I took no time to switch on the TV and saw that a part of a bridge has collapsed on a busy traffic, crashing vehicles full of human beings! I called my mother who was at office; she was safe! Thank God!
Me and my family are safe. But we feel like crying. People like us travel on that road very often and we are saved by mere luck! I just can't see the news giving horrible updates of the incident. Hundreds of people have died: So is the number of injured.
Please pray for us!

@arundhatiwriter This is terrible news.So it was an accident? When we hear news like this, the first thing that comes to mind is terrorism.

Yes, it was an accident; but the police has filed an FIR against the builders.

Sad that there is nothing we can do but just pray for those who are fighting for their life.

I am sorry to hear about the bridge collapsing! I am glad you/your family are safe. And I am sorry to hear those who passed, hopefully everything will be better.

Its more than 2 weeks and now the case will linger on for years. The culprits and murderers will get away with anything and everything. palms will be greased and more such constructions of dubious quality will spring up in our Country.
Unless like Saudi Arabia where action was taken immediately against the company which was given the contract of building the bridge in the Holy Kaaba which collapsed, nothing will happen in our country India.

The builders have been arrested, but we don't know when to get justice!
