After responding on a discussion of which I had mentioned my mom, I suddenly miss her. On Monday, April 4, it would be already four (4) years since she passed away. I miss all those times when she took care of us her children, then when all of us except one has our different homes already. Then during her last days here on earth wherein it was already our turn to take care of her. She was bedridden for about 4 to 5 months.
I remember when she was already in bed and could not anymore stand on her own, I could see our dad crying silently. She was really on a very pitiful situation and we were relieved when she died. All her sufferings were gone and she could not anymore feel the hardness of being sick.
Though we were relieved but I still have that feeling of guilt that as though we were glad that she died. Maybe, there was gladness because of the relief that we felt that her sufferings ended.
Wherever she is right now, I thank her for all that she had done for me and all my siblings during her lifetime which she fully spent with us.

He's still okay. He is living in our ancestral home with my sister who is still single. She is a teacher. I guess it was good that she is not married as she is the one taking care of our father. Our father had a mild stroke last year and he is always at home since then. He is already old and over 80 years old. He is just roaming around the house. He has chickens in their backyard and he is taking care of them.

@hereandthere But he's not as active as before he suffered stroke. I guess in his mind, he thinks that he can still do what he used to do. Just recently, my sister who is with him tried so hard to sell our father's vehicles. Because he still tried to drive. He drove his jeep and transfer it to another area. My sister was so afraid at the time. So now he has no more vehicle.

Yes that was such a relief for all of us. Relief that there was no more suffering for her, for us also, caring for her was so difficult if only one was caring for her. I had to go to their house in the morning before going to work and after work, I have to wash her and clean her. She could not do anything. For my dad too, just looking at her my dad shed tears looking at his wife in such a pitiful situation. Even though we were relieved but still I miss her.

@jaboUK No more... I just keep all those wonderful memories when we were still together. But there are also times that I regretted having arguments with her, not doing what she wanted to do, doing what she didn't want me to do. Oh, that's the reality.
