Wanda Lust is our little vintage trailer - a 1968 Shasta Compact. She is a bit banged and worn, but looks much nicer since we painted her. I love to go camping with her and our camping friends. It's usually a fun time for me to pretend I'm a photographer and get some nature shots. What do you do in nice weather?

Uh-oh. I hope that isn't why you're not married anymore! ;)

@madcrochetlab LOL no, we wasn't married at the time when we had that. No it's something totally different to why we divorced.

Oooh I love kayaking too! My husband and I skipped a big vacation altogether a few years ago so we could save to buy ourselves some kayaks. I adore paddling along at my own speed and taking photos of nature as we go along. So peaceful! We also have bikes and have done quite a bit of that too! :)

@madcrochetlab I enjoy just leisurely paddling too. My husband isn't interested but he will drive me to a spot to get in and pick me up later downstream so that is nice.

@paigea Aw,it's too bad that he doesn't have interest in it but it IS really sweet that he does that for you! Sounds like a good guy. :)

I don't think that is pathetic at all. I probably wouldn't be comfortable doing many things on my own. But I do go and do the food shopping and other errands on my own. Sometimes it's nice to have even those smallest human interactions with the cashiers at the checkout line. :)

Do you have a community pool nearby? That sounds lovely for the kids! We have one very close by but no kids so I have felt strange about signing up to use it but it is too expensive for us to get our own pool.

Thank you! I have done many trips in tents as well. Either way, it's just so nice to have a break from the every day hustle-bustle and commune with nature in some small way, don't you think? :)

There is a little bunk in there that folds out so the kids can sleep above you. I'm not sure if we are keeping that or not as we do it over, but I think kids would love that! :)

Very nice, it looks great! Maybe I would go camping, too, if I had a camper like that with that screened in room, too. When the weather is nice, I am more of a beach person. I love summers at the beach, but will go for walks on the beach most of the year, as long as it isn't cold enough to snow. .

I wondered why you didn't title it 'wander lust'. I went camping a lot when I was younger, but not since I've been married these twenty-seven years. The only thing I do for fun when it gets warm is a bit of gardening, and spending time on my computer. I work two jobs in the warmer months, so I can't take too much time off. i do get five weeks vacation now with my cashiering job, but we can't take it all the same month.
Btw, I saw this post on the right with the suggestions.
