MyLot is My Hero- Surprise Pay Out ( and of course I have to mention Bubblews)

Maybe I got busy with life and everyone else knew, but what a surprise to get a payout from Mylot for my balance just north of a buck. It shows me a lot about these folks who put this program in place for March and April to drop the payout threshold to a buck. Granted I will not retire on this...yet (ha ha) but so many of us worked for other sites that set a payout threshold of say $50 and then went out of business. If you had $49.99 when they went bust, so went your money. For every 10 people in this position they ran off with almost $500, every hundred people almost almost $5,000 and every 1,000 people almost $50,000. So for me to see this "surprise" payment in my Paypal made me regain faith in the online world...for sure as to MyLot. As to Bubblews, the survey sites and others who kept raising the payout and then headed for the hills, hopefully they will be addressed by Karma or some other power. It is not about the amount of money, but about appreciation, maturity and respect. I just really can't say how much I think this gesture made my day. In a world where everyone learns to be suspicious, it seems like a million bucks to see that some people have the class and intelligence to treat others with an bit of kindness and respect. Thank you Mylot and I hope this comes back to you and those who run this in spades.

Actually, Bubbs didn't pay ANYBODY, no matter what they may have earned. Plenty of people were legitimately over $50 and got ripped off. They owe me right at about $200. Persona Paper is a wonderful, legit site, but unfortunately, they can't pay any more. I hope MyLot continues to survive and thrive!

I hope MyLot does well too. As to Bubbs, I heard that some lodged complaints with the Better Business Bureau against the "higher ups" and actually got paid. That would be rather simple to pursue since some people (when I wrote my first post on it) thought the terms of service prevented them from doing ANYTHING. That just isn't so but people decide to pursue or not in their own way.

Are you saying that you don't believe anyone got paid there ever, or just that toward the end no money was forthcoming? I got paid there every time except the time when they paid most everyone half of what was earned, and of course, I didn't get the remaining amount either, but it wasn't all that much.

@desertdawg - wow, that would be cool. Last I heard, the BBB downgraded them to an F rating but that didn't seem to phase them much. Good to know people actually got some money!

@TheHorse Hope all is well on that pleasant hill. I think MyLot is much better managed than some of the rest were so here's to a long and prosperous run.

That was a very nice month. I'm glad the payout is now only $5, unless it's changed again while I've been MIA.

What I'm hoping is after the $1 April promotion is over, the minimum payout won't revert to the previous amount but be peg at $5 instead.

@josie_ Now that is an interesting compromise. I do not see this site doing it, but it seems most people got burned by Bubblews and others when they raised the threshold up to 50 dollars. We hear a lot about those who made over 50 and never got paid, but I would guess there was a whole load of folks in the midrange. I think I was at about 38 dollars when they went south. Multiply that by a large number of folks and the numbers get depressing as to how much was lost collectively.
