Interacting With Friends

I joined MyLot this morning. I’ve been thinking about it for some time now. I miss the online writing and the interaction. I used to bubble all the time, but when they changed the format, a lot of the people I used to interact with started dropping out.
It wasn’t fun anymore. I finally quit.
I miss sharing and interacting with friends. My niece told me about MyLot months ago, but I was in the middle of editing my latest book, and I still teach full time. I checked out the site and decided it would be fun, but I needed to focus on my books first. I would join once I retired the end of May and had more time.
Well, it’s the second of April. Joining today instead of waiting until May 31st was an impulse, but I don’t want to wait. So many of my old friends are here. I want to reconnect with them, as well as make new friends.
It’s good to be back!

Betty you have no idea how great it is to have you here with us! I've been wondering how you are and if you'd join, seeing this discussion really made me happy. Welcome and you just do what you can do-until you retire. You will find a lot of our old friends on here, but there are many new and exciting members that you'll encounter as well.

Lots of people moved from Bubblews to here so I'm sure you'll find a lot of names and faces that are familiar. This site is quite different in that we get paid for interactions rather than new posts but I'm sure you'll soon get the hang of things!

I should have joined months ago, but I was, and still am, afraid that it will start eating up all my computer time. I've been onsite all morning, but what I should be doing is working on formatting my latest book. I want to have it published by the end of the month.

I really didn't know anyone here, someone told me about this site, I gave it a try, active when I can get here. I see a ot of the same people on here daily, so nice to talk with them and meet new people as well.

I joined a few months ago and find it a fun atmosphere. There are some Mylotters who would like to muddy the waters, but as a rule I ignore them.

There are always a few problems with some people (rude, scamming the system, etc.), but mylot seems to be a more positive side of sites and thats awesome.

@mypointsju That makes a difference. From what I've seen, people are here for the fun and the interaction more than for the pennies they make.

Hi, Betty! Welcome to mylot. Not sure if we met on bubblews, but i've been on mylot for 6 years, long before bubblews came. I like this site much better than bubblews and I even wrote about it over there.

Welcome to mylot, Betty. It's addictive just like bubblews was. Hope you get your book finished this month. You may need to limit your time spent here and if you try, good luck with that. I've not figured it out yet, unless I just don't come on until I have things done.
