Do you see yourself for who you are?

Some people are unfair to themselves or have a false perception. Being objective with ourselves is a difficult task and needs a lot of work to achieve honesty and acceptance.
I've met people who can't spend alone time and always keep their schedule full. Do you think you have an objective perception of yourself?
I read a very nice quote today and I would like to share it:
“Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.”

I used to have a great perception about myself.
Not that I thought that I was great. I always saw myself as trying to be humble, trying to be helpful, and always trying to be good. I always knew that there were people much better than me, but I was secure in where I was -- that I was at least trying.
Some recent goings on in my life has made me question my perception though.

I think that acceptance is very important. I used to do everything correctly in my opinion and I thought it was my strong characteristic but you can't base your confidence in only one part of your character. New situations might force us to change and I think it's for the best to accept that change.
How are you dealing with this change in perception?

@bounce58 I also wanted to go back to doing all the right things but unfortunately it's not possible. When one change in perspective happens, there are many other little things that change as well. However, there is a balance everywhere in life, hopefully this will give you the chance to improve in other aspects. Everything needs time, I think we should take it and deal with changes at our own pace.

If one wants to live a contented life, he/she has to see for what do they stand for or who they are. This question directly demands one to look deeper into themselves and ultimately bringing changes for all the negative habits present.
NEVER forget , "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE WILL"

@gaureshashank Being up to date and acting fast is very important if we want to keep up with everyday changes. But it's also good to be balanced and know when those changes will help us improve or when they are going to have a negative effect.

Yes, I know quite a few people who have very low opinion of themselves which cause them to become stagnant.. It sad to see how they are too blind to see their true beauty..
That's a lovely quote you shared .. thank you! ..

Ya it happens. We people tend to give others so many opinions and ideas to make themselves aware about themselves and their strengths but on the contrast many a times we ourselves forget to introspect and know our ownselves properly. We must take out time for ourselves and see what who and where we are and how much we in reality have a acceptance and satisfaction for the same.
