Former New York Mets right handed relief pitcher Carlos Torres, 33, has signed a one year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. Torres who has pitched in the Major Leagues with the Chicago White Sox from 2009-2010, the Colorado Rockies in 2012 and the New York Mets from 2013-2015. Torres pitched one season for the Yomiuri Giants of the Nippon Professional Baseball in the 2011 baseball season before he signed a minor league contract with the Rockies in 2012 pitching in 31 relief appearances for the Rockies. Torres became a free agent on January 31, 2016 after the New York Mets released him the previous day. Torres signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves on February 10, 2016 in an attempt to make the National League East team before he was released by the team on March 31, 2016. Torres will be filling the void on the Brewers who are in need of a veteran relief pitcher for the team in 2016. Terms of the contract were not released by the Brewers on Saturday.
