'Got You (Where I Want You)' is a song by the band The Flys from their second studio album 'Holiday Man' . If you need a refresher of what the song is, look for the song and music video on-line . If you need further motivation to view the music video, it features Katie Holmes! Pre-Tom Cruise Katie Holmes at that!!!
The song got its claim to fame when it was featured as part of the official soundtrack of the movie 'Sex Drive'. The song was playing in the background when the lead actor of the movie was at work in the mall and he was staring at the women around him. The song peaked at number 5 in the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart and got to number 36 at the US Top 40. in a movie, featuring the band Fall Out Boy, The Flys didn't do too bad!
Anyway, the reason I have a post about this song is because I was singing it on my way to work early on. Not really sure why but the song just popped in my head so I began humming the melody and singing the parts of the song that I know the lyrics of. Funny thing was in the elevator, a random girl was humming the same song. Not sure if she did because she heard me sing it or if she was singing it prior. Either way it is a nice random song to pop in one's head. Admittedly, it is a good song to sing together with a hot random girl you are sharing the lift with. Too bad though that I don't look like Tom Cruise. Didn't bother me though, as the girl didn't look like Katie Holmes!
Any random song popping in your head right now that you are singing?

When you are happy you listen to the melody of the song. When you are sad, you listen to the lyrics. Truth!
Oh and welcome to myLot, saw that this is your first comment! Cheers!

Oddly enough this is one of those random songs that kinda pop into my head once in a while, which is kinda odd because it's not played on the radio anymore here;)

It is a song that ranks high in my Last Song Syndrome list.

I've had that happen too - where a song in your head is suddenly being hummed by someone nearby. Must be thought transference or something. Or maybe we both just heard it on some radio.
